I have been buying and collecting vintage decor since the 60's! I have so many crates filled with wonderful pieces.
These are some of my favs I love the look. So I got out my aluminum polish and started the rub down. To really get them shining it took me a few weeks.
In the mean time I had my hubs cut me a chunk of clear pine 1/4". I use it for lots of projects.
I white washed the wood. I just thinned out some of my favorite white.
So next is the trim around the edges. Again I had help from the hubs. He used a piece of polished anodized aluminum u channel to create a chanel trim that fit around the edges perfectly.
Mounting the aluminum pieces to the wood. I used a strong double stick high strength 2 way tape for that and Silicone Clear GE 1200 .
